A Note From Erik Littlejohn

I certainly looked forward to writing the intro to this month’s newsletter as it coincides with our acquisition of Sensato Cybersecurity Solutions. All of us at CloudWave are extremely excited about what this opportunity means for us and for our customers. As you may have seen from our recent press release, Sensato is a highly regarded managed cybersecurity services company led by John Gomez, a healthcare IT visionary. Sensato and CloudWave are such a great fit on several levels, but first and foremost by our focus on the healthcare market.

Sensato managed security services are built to address the specific needs of the hospitals and health systems with a cloud-based architecture that provides robust, scalable security services at an affordable price. CloudWave has worked with many different cybersecurity vendors over the last 10 years and Sensato stood out for their extensive vision and thorough execution. The Sensato solution addresses both the security of the compute environment as well as the medical devices attached to the hospital network.

John Gomez will join the CloudWave leadership team as Chief Cybersecurity and Engineering Officer bringing his deep expertise and knowledge to further enhance the security of our service delivery and cloud operations which will benefit all of our clients. Recognizing the unique challenges that healthcare providers face with continually changing and increasing cyber threats, John has built a solution to address them. We’re truly fortunate to have John and his team join the CloudWave family. Both teams are passionate about the market we serve and help to bring solutions to healthcare providers regardless of their geography, EHR, and wherever they stand with the adoption of edge, private, or public clouds.

Regards,
Erik

Advance Authorization Now Available

CloudWave is pleased to offer a new way to streamline the way we deliver changes to your OpSus Cloud Services.

Incremental adjustments to the scope of your cloud service are to be expected, but the timing and process may not always be convenient. And delaying the implementation of service change requests while waiting on a signature can delay addressing small issues that can lead to bigger problems.

CloudWave is now able to provide a way for our cloud customers to mitigate the administrative burden of these requests by allowing key personnel to pre-approve routine change orders.

With Advance Authorization, you set the boundaries. Adding components, expanding storage, increasing capacity – these are all change order categories covered under your Advance Authorization Agreement. You pre-select the maximum monthly charge amount of the change order ahead of time, so there are no surprises. And you can limit who on your team can submit a request through this program.

Why choose Advance Authorization?
Advance Authorization offers agility and the ability to address issues quickly. You no longer need to wait for the approval and signature of every change order to be processed before a service request can be opened. The OpSus team can respond to your needs as they arise.

How does Advance Authorization work?
First, the OpSus team will verify that the change request was made by an authorized individual. Once the requestor’s privileges are confirmed, the change order is documented and a copy is sent for your records. The changes are provisioned, and you are notified when they are complete.

How do I join the program?
Contact your Customer Success Manager or Sales Director. They will provide a straightforward one-page form where you customize the parameters of your program and choose your designated requestors. One signature enables the smooth and timely execution of routine changes and minor updates.

Coming Soon!
OpSus CloudCare+

Last year, 34% of providers who were breached were infiltrated via an unpatched vulnerability and were aware of the risk but didn’t patch in time.

We’ve been working on a new service offering which expands this capability to the systems at your hospital – a solution we’re calling CloudCare+.

Be sure to keep an eye out for updates regarding CloudCare+ in the coming months.

Meet Christine Rowe: Senior Project Manager

Many CloudWave employees have spent their careers in healthcare IT.
Leading teams toward success is what Christine Rowe does best.

Before arriving at CloudWave, the Senior Project Manager oversaw teams to improve processes, reduce costs and develop software. After earning her PMP in 2012, Christine began her MEDITECH journey as the program director for the healthcare division of an information technology company. While at MUSE in Chicago, she met a few CloudWave executives and joined the company soon after.

At CloudWave Christine works with on-premise customers leading hardware refreshes, operating system upgrades, and working with new customers to implement MEDITECH EXPANSE.

Christine not only leads the charge at CloudWave but as a cheer coach for her town cheer team where her granddaughter is also a member. In addition, she is also a cheer mom for her elite cheer travel team.

“My life outside work is all about my family.”

In addition to managing projects for MEDITECH hospitals, Christine is currently leading the town cheer team straight to Florida next month for the National Championships. Earlier this month, they placed second in the New England Regional competition.

“They won last year so we are working hard to repeat”

When asked what she likes most about working in healthcare?

“I like making a difference. What we do is important to keep patients healthy at the hospital.”

She goes on to explain, “The challenge of being precise when we are taking the hospital system down is what I thrive on. I like working with the different teams at the hospitals. It keeps things fresh for me.”

Go Christine!
